What do you MEAN,
you haven't spayed
or neutered your pet???

Spay/Neuter Vouchers
Available to Riverside County Residents

If you still haven't had your pet spayed or neutered, now is the time. Riverside County residents are eligible for vouchers to help pay for the cost of spay/neuter surgeries ($50 per dog, $25 per cat, three at a time for as long as funds remain available.)

AFV and shelters everywhere are being inundated with puppies and kittens, the result of unaltered pets being allowed to breed. It is so much simpler to spay/neuter than to care for litters of puppies and kittens, most of whom will never find homes.

Please call toll free at 1-888-664-5166 to receive your voucher.

LET'S STOP PET OVERPOPULATION
ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Red
White & You!

Opportunity Drawing

Don't miss out on our current opportunity drawing! Win a handmade red, white and blue windmill; a 5' x 8' American flag that was flown over the U. S. Capitol building on Sept. 11, 2007; or a doggie goody basket. (Check out our flyer.)

Tickets are only $1 each or 6 for $5, 13 for $10, or 27 for $20. Purchase at the shelter, our administrative office or our Saturday adoption shows. The drawing will be held July 3. Good luck!

Make Your Pet a Pin-up!

It's that time again! Start entering photos of your pets for the 2009 calendar. Entries are only $10 per photo and you can enter as many times as you like. A judging panel will choose twelve pets of the month and a front cover; the rest of the entries will be included in the collage pages. Deadline for entries is July 31 at 4 p.m.

Read the contest rules and submit your photos by printing out the entry form.

Will You Be "Pet" Prepared in Case of a Disaster?

Living in California, we know it's only a matter of time until we are faced with a natural disaster. Earthquakes, fires, floods, mudslides -- all come when we least expect them. After last year's firestorms, many Californians realize how important it is to be prepared to leave home fast. We all should have emergency kits and supplies ready at all times. But don't forget to prepare your pets, too!

Now is the Time to Buy A Brick!

Groundbreaking for the new shelter is coming up soon, so now is the time to make your brick purchase if you still haven't done so. Bricks make great gifts, too!

Your brick will be engraved with three lines of your choosing and will be incorporated into the new shelter building, so don't miss your chance to become part of shelter history! Bricks are $50 each. More information can be found on our donation page.

There also are opportunities for donors who wish to dedicate a kennel, adoption room, spay/neuter clinic, classroom, etc. If you are interested in seeing your name as a donor on one of these spaces, please call executive director Willa Bagwell at 951-674-0618.
