ANIMAL CARE ATTENDANT/KENNEL TECHNICIAN
(full-time and part-time positions available)

Dependable, honest, hard working individuals are needed to work in our kennel areas. Must be able to work in fast-paced setting with minimum supervision and be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be available to work weekends and holidays; able to lift heavy objects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive and care for animals; observe animals for signs of illness or injury; maintain kennels; feed and care for all animals on shelter grounds, including sick or injured animals; assist with humane euthanasia; maintain records and logs; handle vicious animals; keep shelter grounds clean; assist with customer visitations; monitor volunteers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Animal experience preferred. Must be able to work with both domestic and non-domestic animals and be familiar with animal breeds. Must be detail oriented and able to work with minimum supervision. Must be productive and have initiative.

ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER
(full-time position)

We are looking for a detail-oriented self starter with good people skills who is able to work under pressure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Enforce state and city ordinances; able to respond to 911 calls (after hours and weekends).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must currently have P.C. 832 Certificate or be able to obtain within six month of hire date. Must have Class C driver's license and be a high school graduate/GED. Must live in the general area of Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, and Canyon Lake.

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN
(full-time position)

Salary: $12.36 - $13.31 hourly
Must be able to work Saturdays

Job Description:

Administer daily medicine to the animals
Render first aid
Perform procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance such as vaccines, microchipping
Observe general shelter animal population for illness and /or injury
Oversee and maintain medical records
Complete routine health assessments
Complete physical examinations

Requirements:

Mature, motivated self-starter, capable of working effectively with minimum supervision
Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment
Attention to detail
Commitment
Friendly and professional when dealing with staff and the public
Positive attitude and willingness to provide quality care for our animals
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of safe, humane and efficient methods for the care, treatment and handling of animals
Ability to clean and disinfect kennels

Must have previous shelter or animal hospital experience.
