I am looking for a adult male cat around 9 years of age and sort of cuddly type. Eventually cuddly after he gets over his shyness. I have another female cat toritishelle 8 years old and a bit bossy type to me so I am looking for a friendly cat that I can share some loving commitment with me and eventually with Biscuit which I adopted from Animal Friends of the Valley on May 13, 2015.A31847 is her tag number from A. F. V. 951 674-0618. Thank you very much. I was interested in Rickey a male cat but was adopted out that day I inquired about him and there is a cat that was returned by previous owner and was wondering if it is the same cat. He is a bigger size cat. kathryn porter 951 400 3663 dodedude2014@gmail.com and Kathy McIntyre knows of me and my late cat name Dude Porter. White and Black male bigger cat died of Type 2 Diabetes on April 14, 2014 I miss my baby boy ao BADLY. I Hurt and cry all the time because Dude is not around me anymore.

check my comments out alright. AFV please. I like the old website better as it showed the entire list of cats up close not like it is on this site as you can hardly see the view of the cats listed. And there are more cats in your kennels than what is shown here on this site. kporter

Changes have been made during the week on the site. Please check out the cats as our webmaster has been cropping and enhancing photos.

These fur babies really do touch at our heart strings. And don’t ask for much. Thank you for saving lives by adopting from the shelter.

your new website format does NOT show the animals that are in need of a home in the best way. It has minimized the size and information about the animals. It isn’t about the big, cute & fuzzy puppies and kittens in canned shots that need help, but the ones you have scaled down into 1″ photos.

I find the new web site less user friendly than the old. For example, when I try to view animals for adoption, the page indicates that I should be able to see twenty cats/dogs, but only twelve are viewable and there is no way to scroll down. Also, I couldn’t find out the price of the animals available for adoption.

    1. Animalfriends says:

We have made changes to the website over the past week so hopefully you will now be able to view them better. We also posted the price of the adoptions.

Where are the lost and found reports? Were those removed?

    1. Animalfriends says:

We will now be putting the lost and found reports in our blog. The Public will be able to post and then if a picture is sent in we will put that on there too.

I am not a big fan of the new website. It is much harder to look at the pets for adoption and I have to keep clicking the next button to see more animals. I really liked the old format better. The pictures of the animals are also a bit distorted. I’m sure you changed the site because of specific needs that you have behind the scenes but you might consider making a change to make it easier to look at the animals and have their picture show up better. Thanks for all you do to help animals. We have two pups from you.

I miss the old website, you could get a quick peek at the dogs available and the comments that were added gave you a quick idea of the dogs available.
The pics were bigger and the information seemed a little more current with newer arrivals and the separate page for fostered dogs .

While there are a lot of new features to the new website that have great information that was not there previously the site has issues with access and easy maneuverability.

I like the new website, especially the new browser for the adoptions. What I could not find was the cost of adoption like on the old site.

    1. Animalfriends says:

The fees for adoptions have been added. Thanks for commenting.

  8. Today, I went to the beach wth my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it
tto my 4 year old daughter and sai “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear
and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and itt pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is
entirely ooff topic but I had to tell someone!

    1. Animalfriends says:

That is crazy. She needs to keep going back to the beach but not putting things up to her ears.

    Hello,
I have to say I’m disappointed in your new website. It’s very hard to maneuver. The dogs up for adoption are distorted and the list goes on and on. When I click on the lost and found, they come up with all the other dogs. And where are the ones in foster care? Where does it say which ones are going to be at Petco. They are coming up with all of the other dogs too. I used to look at your site every day, unless it goes back to the old one I won’t be looking that often. You could change the site, just not the parts to do with the dogs/cats. I didn’t see where you have the other animals listed other than cats and dogs either. It looks like not much thought or review went into your new site. Maybe you should have asked your customers there opinion before you launched.

    1. Animalfriends says:

If you click under species, the domestic other show the other animals other than dogs and cats. If you click on the animal the summary will whether the animal is in foster care or not. Yes all of the animals available for adoption come up together as they are coming over from our shelter software in real time.

  12. Laura Willingham says:

Your adoption cat section needs to be expanded to include much more of the cats you have available. The photos need to be enlarged…like they were on the old website. A comment section with each photo would be appreciated. The old website would comment with the cat’s photos by stating a brief statement of the circumstances that brought them to AFV. A better description of the kitten’s age is helpful…this use to be included on the old website. The cat section needs work.

Have you clicked on the kennel cards? That is where all of the information is located. If the animal comes in as a stray we are limited on what information that we have.
